light, colour, form & texture

Knot Unknot is the studio where I make wearable fibre art and create conceptual project work. The work is often rooted in science and mathematics but is always a journey in light, colour, form and texture.

Current Project
Knit the Shoreline - as part of the Edinburgh Shoreline Project I will be working with community groups to create a textile tribute to the flora and fauna of our local coast. The finished pieces will be on display in the John Hope Centre of the Royal Botanic Gardern Edinburgh from 28 July 2018.

Previous Projects
Botanica Mathematica - a textile exploration of mathematical forms in the plant kingdom. Patterns are on the project website for you to explore the ideas yourself. The project closed with an exhibition at the D'Arcy Thompson Museum, Dundee in June 2017.
The Mathematician's Shirts - an installation about the formality of mathematics and the work of mathematicians made out of modified shirts!
