Knot Unknot is Madeleine Shepherd's textile studio. She chose this name because it describes a lot of what goes on there and because of its mathematical connotations!

Working mostly with knitting and felting, her practice ranges from community art installations and interdisciplinary collaborations to the textile jewellery and other accessories. Her pieces are often rooted in science, mathematics and science fiction but can also explore texture, colour and form for their own sakes.
